What happens when I get dropped off? How do I arrange a pick-up time from the medical office?

Riders can request a pick-up time from their medical appointment over the phone when they request a ride. 

I don't know how long my appointment will take?

Riders are encouraged to contact the medical office for more information on how long their appointment will take. It is a known fact that most medical offices will suggest a time frame on specific medical appointments. 

How much do you charge? What is the $50.00 price?

We charge $50.00 base charge. This means that for every scheduled ride there is a $50.00 charge regardless. In addition, there is a $1.50 per minute charge. For every minute we charge $1.50. 

Can Medicaid or Medicare pay for my trip cost?

Medicaid and Medicare will only pay for immobile persons. For example, if a person cannot stand or walk. then they are considered immobile. Certain Medicaid and Medicare plans will cover non-emergency medical transportation services up to a set limit. 

You may be able to get non-emergency ambulance transportation if you have a written order from your doctor saying that ambulance transportation is medically necessary.

Will my health insurance cover the cost of my NEMT trip?

Some health insurance companies will cover out of pocket expenses. Some require an NEMT to be a transportation provider.
